Grading Scale

• Enamel pins are hand made so each one is prone to having flaws

  A grades: Minor imperfections. Close examination is needed to see these. Usually dots of the wrong colour in other enamel. Pressed in fingerprints in the enamel. May have issues on the sides and back of the pin, such as missing plating or scratches. Screen printing may be slightly misaligned

  B Grades: More noticeable flaws, but nothing too major. Metal can be scuffed and parts of the enamel may be underfilled. Glitter may be missing in some areas in small amounts. Colours may have bled over the lines into different sections. The sides and back may have larger flaws of scratching or chipping but not enough to drastically affect the overall look of the pin. Screen printing could have more noticeable issues. Large misalignment, small missing chunks ect. Usually 2-3 small issues from an A grade turn it into a B grade.

  C Grades: Have larger issues, Underfill in multiple areas, chips in enamel or plating, multiple bubbles. Usually C Grades may have multiple smaller errors from an A or B ranking but the number of them pushes it to a C Rank. They're commonly noticeable right away. Screen printing is either worn away in some parts or parts are missing. Could have more drastic misalignment
